Popcorn & Peanut Sales
CUB SCOUT PACK 3894 2011 POPCORN AND PEANUT GENERAL SALES INFORMATION
THREE METHODS OF SELLING POPCORN/PEANUTS:
Show and Sell – Dens are encouraged to sell on the weekends/after school in person in high traffic areas (Jewel, Walgreens, Dominick’s, El Stops) in and around the Lincoln Square area. Popcorn and peanuts are being stored at Piggy Toes on Western Avenue, located a few doors north of Queen of Angels. All show and sell revenue will count towards the pizza party for the top selling den. End date for show and sell is Sunday, October 30th.
Door-to-Door Sales/Take Order Sales – Sell sheets for both popcorn and peanuts should have been/will be distributed by the den leaders. Scouts are encouraged to sell to neighbors, local family and friends using the sales sheets provided. When conducting take order sales, please be sure to receive payment up front for the order. All revenue for take order will count towards the individual scout’s prize structure. Take order sales sheets and money will need to be turned in pack night Friday, October 28th.

Online sales - Both online popcorn and peanut sales will have a longer selling season and will continue until Saturday, December 24th. The scout log-in page for Trail’s End can be found at: www.trails-end.com/trailsend/scouts/. Peanut sales will go through Virginia Diner. Website is: www.vadiner.com. When consumers log into the site, they can choose the “fundraising” tab at the top of the page and follow the directions provided. WE recommend having people look at the GIFT SETS. At checkout, it is important the buyer selects the region “Illinois”, select organization “pack 3894 chicago” and enter the scouts name on the third line to make sure they receive credit for the sale.

PRIZE STRUCTURE:
INDIVIDUAL PRIZES – All in-person and online popcorn/peanut sales completed by Friday, October 28th count towards the following prizes:
$500 Sales Club – Fishing Pole
$250 Sales Club – Pocket Knife
$150 Sales Club – Mess Kit
FAMILY PRIZES – Including total in-person and online popcorn/peanut sales completed by Friday, October 28th AND online popcorn/peanut sales continuing to Dec 10th.
Top selling family in the pack - $50 gift certificate to Brauhaus
2nd place family in the pack – $30 gift certificate to Trattoria Trullo
3rd place family in the pack – $20 gift certificate to Barba Yianni Grecian Taverna
Top selling den ending December 10th in pack will win a pizza party. Sales for 1) individual in-person 2) individual online and 3) den show and sale will determine the winning den. Time and location are TBD.
