Pack 3894 will start a new tradition this year which we hope will raise awareness among the local community , and our scouting district . The purpose is to have a unique large campfire in an urban area at the same time to bid farewell to our Cub Scouts bridging over to Boy Scouts. On Friday May 4th @ 6:30pm at 2232 W Lawrence , Pack 3894 is excited to present our Closing Season Pack Night / Campfire to recognize some our boys who have reached Cub Scouting’s highest honor and to bid farewell to the Huskies Den . Bring Blankets and Chairs
The Campfire location will be held about 4 block north of Queen of Angels Church at Farmers Market on 2232 W Lawrence at 6:30pm. Please plan on arriving early to ensure you locate parking. Huskies Co-Leader Mark Borelli & Urban Innovations has been kind enough to let us use his facilities and locate additional parking. You can park on Lawrence or 1block EAST of the Campfire location , 2138 W Lawrence ( near Griffins & Gargoyles Shop).
Since this is a special night to focus on Cub Scouting’s Highest Honor the Arrow of light to some boys, and bridge our 2nd year Webelos to Boy Scouts; we want all our Cub Scouts to witness and take part in the special ceremony planned. We will have a special Native American Theme Ceremonial Team to conduct the solemn Arrow of Light Ceremony . The plan is to have some representatives from many other Scout Boy Scout Troops in our area to witness this very unique campfire in urban setting.
We will also be using this night as a recruitment for new boys and families to attend and share what scouting is about. Therefore we do ask that any families or boys who you know might be interested in joining Cub Scouts to please have your son “bring a friend” to the campfire. Each Den will have a part in the campfire to either sing a song, skit or story.
We hope to see you all there at our closing Pack Night/ Campfire.
