Pack 3894 Spring Campout 2011

When & Where? The Pack 3894 Fall Campout will be held at Rock Cut State Park on Saturday May 14 – Sunday May 15 2011. Rock Cut State Park is located in Loves Park, IL ( west of Rockford) 60 miles from Chicago. We have reserved the best five group campsites right on the lake. Activities will include hiking, sports, campfires,  and specific achievement-oriented activities coordinated by each den leader. Here are the event details:

3) Attendance
This is a Scout / Parent event. One parent or legal guardian must accompany their kids. To promote scouting, other non-scout siblings (boys only, ages 6-10) are also invited to come on this trip. Due to the size of our pack, entire families will not be allowed on this trip, but we will have an opportunity this summer for family camping. Please let your den leaders know the names of all attendees from your family by April 30.
4) Fee
A $10 fee will be charged for each person to cover the costs of camp site reservations, event patch, program materials, and two meals. Please provide these funds to you den leader by April 30.
5) Youth Protection Training
All parents and legal guardians attending MUST have completed the Youth Protection Program by April 30.  Turn in/email  your certificates to your den leaders prior to departure.  No exceptions will be made and this matter will be strictly enforced. The reason for this policy is because of the nature of sleeping arrangements on overnighters and all parents need to be aware.  Not following this policy puts our entire Pack at risk, via the BSA Tour Plan that we have filled out.  The Youth protection online course is free and takes approximately 20 minutes to go through. The link to this can be found at here https://myscouting.scouting.org/
We prefer you send the Pack an “electronic” copy of your Certificate; so when you are prompted to print it, also SAVE the file or copy and paste it into Word as a file and email it to your den leaders. Or you can login to your online account and click View Certificate link and pull up that version and copy & paste it in same fashion as a file to save.
6) Carpooling
Please communicate with your respective den leaders about car pooling.  This will be required due to the limited number of vehicles permitted on the camp ground.
